Upgrade Your Cold Brew On Tap Program With Wandering Bear

If you enjoy the occasional (or daily, in our case) cup of coffee, there’s a chance you’ve heard of cold brew coffee. If you’re reading this, there’s an even greater chance that you already know what it is, and you may have even tried it. Before we examine the cold brew coffee that Wandering Bear specializes in, an important distinction needs to be made – iced coffee is different than cold brew! Let’s break down what this means.   Cold Brew Vs. Ice Coffee   Iced coffee is, well, just that. First, a hot cup of coffee is brewed. Then, a handful of ice cubes are dropped inside, and the drink sits until it becomes cold, when it can be enjoyed as a cold beverage. Alternatively, it can be placed in the refrigerator and cooled within there. While we can’t say no to a good iced coffee in a pinch,

“Spring in the Mediterranean” Martin + Fitch Seasonal Menu

Corporate Essentials’ very own catering company, Martin + Fitch, has a seasonal workplace menu that is sure to please. This spring, the seasonal menu follows a Mediterranean approach. Appropriately titled “Spring in the Mediterranean” this limited-time menu offers a number of choices that should convince employees to leave their bagged lunches at home. As the name implies, Mediterranean food is inspired by meals created in countries surrounding the Mediterranean sea. Some of these areas include Italy, Morocco, Israel, Greece, Turkey, and Spain. But what exactly makes up the contents of this cuisine? Well, it turns out that it’s up to a level of interpretation due to a broad range of food origin. Despite this, a pattern meal consistency can be identified. The Mediterranean Cuisine According to QSR Magazine, a number of dishes share common ingredients, including olive oil, lemons, wheat, chickpeas, grapes, and non-native tomatoes. “The terms may differ,” said

Women's History Month

Recognizing Corporate Essentials’ Women Leadership

Recognizing the many contributions to society by women is an important facet of March, officially known as Women’s History Month. As of October 2018, women make up 50.8 percent of the U.S. population. So why isn’t this number reflected by leadership roles in the workplace? According to the Center for American Progress in 2018, they said, “In a broad range of fields, their [womens’] presence in top leadership positions—as equity law partners, medical school deans, and corporate executive officers—remains stuck at five percent to 20 percent.” We’re proud to say that the team at Corporate Essentials doesn’t share this same disparity. Of the 14 people in leadership positions at the company, six are women and eight are men. In honor of Women’s History Month, we asked these six remarkable women about the responsibilities they hold as leaders. Lori Puri Director of Marketing   Kara Vazquez Human Resources Manager   Maura

As we become more conscious of the contents of the food we consume, there has been a rising number of vegetarian and vegan focused restaurants in recent years. This month, Corporate Essentials celebrates Philadelphia chef Rich Landau’s mission to translate vegan cuisine to a broader audience through our James Beard Featured Chef program with Martin + Fitch. About Rich Landau Rich Landau’s culinary journey began as a teenager after becoming a vegetarian. He grew up in a Jewish household where the main course typically consisted of some sort of meat. After learning what happened to the animals in order for him to enjoy these meals, Rich decided to teach himself how to create food with all of the soulful flavor he loved, without the meat. While finding vegan food that manages to make your mouth water is quite easy today, thirty years ago vegan-focused restaurants were few and far between.

The spirit of the holiday season reminds us to be thankful for all that we have and inspires us to give back to those less fortunate. In lieu of gifts this year, we will be donating to the following charities in our customers’ names. Each of these charities represent something near and dear to our hearts. In this post, we will provide some more information on each charity so our customers can make informed decisions as to which cause is right for them.
